Things are bad, real bad, and getting worse.
On that UPS performance index the only team below Army is Idaho:
Rank | Team | G | Off. | Def. | ST | Misc. | Index |
119 | Army Black Knights | 7 | 102.46 | 62.43 | 82.69 | 85.06 | 67.60 |
120 | Idaho Vandals | 8 | 84.85 | 70.73 | 85.37 | 76.23 | 67.09 |
I don't advocate or foresee Rich Ellerson being let go mid-season or after this season - and for that matter not next year or after next year either - but I would bank on some sort of significant sacrifice from the defensive staff. You will find no bigger advocate than me for stability on the coaching staff- and Army has had remarkable stability on its staff. There comes a time to move forward with the team and I feel that now would be a good time to shop around.
Army made an emu of a team look like a flock of eagles.
I'm happy to wash my hands of the Eastern Michigan game.
