Sal reports that Jared Hassin quit the team. I'm more let down by that than by any single defeat this year. Jared was one of the guys I expected to be a leader coming into the 2011 season but the rigors of the position led to injuries which removed #7 from the field. This year, whether it was battling those recurring injuries, or coming to terms with minimal playing time - or a mix of both Jared just never got it going.
Hassin is a guy with a family history with the academy and came to West Point with a purpose. I really wish his football dream was still alive at West Point, but here's to Hassin finding success pursuing his life's next purpose.
Here's a look at a Wiki bio of #7 and his Go Army Sports bio which as of right now is still up.
