Yearbook: Mississippi State
Sunday, July 29, 2012
I've had very little time to post anything as of late so here's a yearbook to make up for some of the yearbook turns I missed.
The Mississippi State Reveille is a nice collection of yearbooks. The issues available online are 1920-2007 minus the 1944 unpublished year. The project is another collaboration with the Internet Archive, and all contributors have done a nice job with this one.
Some years sort of ignore football, and merely print the scores of the games, but I can't blame Mississippi State for that - if you were this bad at your job, you would dread your yearly review too.
Anyway at least the books are scanned and available for free online. I don't know why a school might go to all the trouble of scanning their yearbook collection and not make the project available to the public. Carleton College may have the answer that question, but I can't think of a polite way to ask.
Mississippi State, however has the bulk of their yearbooks available online, so if you are interested go ahead and check them out.
